The International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) held their 45th Annual Conference from the 21st to the 25th of July in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece. This event gathered renowned experts as well as researchers from diverse backgrounds working in the field of clinical biostatistics.
We were delighted to note that many members from SmallData participated in this forum. Their contributions included: oral sessions by doctoral researchers Clemens Schächter, Fabian Kabus, and Max Behrens; an invited expert talk for early career biostatisticians and a second invited talk on “How to leverage the success of ChatGPT for longitudinal and time-to-event data“ by our PI, Harald Binder; and poster presentations by doctoral researchers Maren Hackenberg, Nana-adjoa Kwarteng, Hanning Yang, and Maryam Farhadizadeh.
In this last segment, we’re happy to announce that Hanning Yang won the poster award for her work on “Calibrating representations of expert knowledge with patient data in latent spaces for synthetic trajectories”, with early career researcher Meropi Karakioulaki and our PIs Cristina Has, Moritz Hess, and Harald Binder.
Congratulations Hanning!
We are also very grateful for the work done by all the other SmallData members who contributed to this conference through their work as authors, including our PIs Adriani Nikolakopoulou, Angelika Rohde, Thorsten Schmidt, Holger Dette, Nadine Binder, and doctoral researchers Felix Ndonfack and Zoe Lange.
We hope all participants enjoyed this experience and we look forward to seeing how your SmallData research keeps supporting other fields in the future!
