On November 4, we held our SMART Pitch Workshop at the Co-Creation Room, University Freiburg, where our doctoral researchers came together to pitch their project ideas for the upcoming SMART Retreat. This workshop was designed to help each participant refine their goals, articulate their challenges, and outline the connections they’d like to foster with fellow researchers during our upcoming retreat from 13 to 15 November.
During the session, docs received tailored advice from our academic consultant, Vicent Botella-Soler from Dickerson et al. Vicent provided insightful, personalized feedback to help each doctoral researcher refine their ideas, and to highlight ways they could make their goals and challenges more engaging and relatable.
To further enhance the collaborative spirit, participants also rated each other’s pitches, sparking meaningful conversations and identifying opportunities for cross-disciplinary support.
A big thank you to Vicent for his guidance, and to all our doctoral researchers for their openness and enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing these project ideas take shape at the SMART Retreat—and to watching new collaborations emerge!
