SmallData@NeurIPS 2024

Established in 1987, the Conference and Workshop on Neural Information Processing Systems (also known as NeurIPS) is renowned as one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, having a singular interdisciplinary approach with the field of computational neuroscience. This year’s event took place in the city of Vancouver, Canada, from December 10th to the 15th.

Our doctoral researcher, Lennart Purucker, along with our principal investigator, Frank Hutter, coauthored a paper titled “HW-GPT-Bench: Hardware-Aware Architecture Benchmark for Language Models”, which was presented during the first general poster sessions of this conference.

Lennart and Frank also coauthored a second publication titled “Transfer Learning for Finetuning Large Language Models”, showcased at the Workshop on Adaptive Foundation Models. Finally, Frank joined our principal investigator, Josif Grabocka, and our doctoral researcher, Johannes Hog, in a collaborative publication titled “Warmstarting for Scaling Language Models”, presented at the same workshop.

Congratulations to our SmallData researchers for their success!
